Christian Kurz: No, I'm not having lynx installed. I've only got w3m installed. But I fail to see why jwhois needs to query the http server for .de domains, when the whois server works fine. It has worked for me in the past. Then for some time I had to add -T dn to the query to get the full info

Christian Kurz: when I'm trying to look up a .de domain, jwhois will give me no results. Instead I only see this: That works for me, do you have Lynx installed? To query HTTP servers it normally uses Lynx, but it doesn't depend on it since you can configure it not to, or to use another browser.
