I didn't see the "premature end of jpeg file" in GIMP, but now when looking
for it, yes I can confirm it is there on my local machine too.
So maybe this is intended behaviour in Shotwell rather than a bug then? A
bit odd though, you can open it in the viewers but not import it in
Shotwell.

Forgot to mention that according to another user (on the debian forum) the
import succeeds in Jessie with shotwell 0.20.1-1.
Nonetheless I believe this kind of bug - assuming it can be confirmed -
should be fixed for the stable version of Shotwell.
