Hi, I didn't see the "premature end of jpeg file" in GIMP, but now when looking for it, yes I can confirm it is there on my local machine too.
So maybe this is intended behaviour in Shotwell rather than a bug then? A bit odd though, you can open it in the viewers but not import it in Shotwell. Regards
