Can confirm the bug with the error message "KDEInit kann /usr/bin/apper nicht

Can confirm this bug. Just for the record. As a workaround I use for remote
login:
ssh -t root@server "/bin/dash"
or locally
su -l -s "/bin/dash"

Just run into a similar problem when upgrading from wheezy to jessie on a
fitPC1. apt-get disp-upgrade worked until the postinst step for console-setup
and hang. With htop I see
