Is there really no way to get SPE 0.8.2.a in the universe repository?!
Users ask why not and I don't know the answer. I want to point out
that 0.8.1.d which is now in the universe is buggy. SPE 0.8.2.a is
really a big difference in stability and bug fixes.

Sorry, I have been away and very busy. I don't know if the
without-setup.zip source package of SPE is usefull for you, which I
would prefer. It has just all the source files as there is no need to
install SPE in the site-packages directory. I'll try to look in the
matter next week.

I also reported segfaults using fbpanel. Now I think
the icewm I used is incompatible with fbpanel.
