When I use gtkpod to convert my WAV files into MP3, the resulting MP3s
are unplayable on my 2nd generation iPod shuffle.
When I convert an OGG file to MP3 using gtkpod, the resulting MP3 is
played fine.

Thanks! I think the tred program is quite useful.
Strange thing is that it used to work before. I can't recall which
version, I used it a lot about a year ago.

Thus the solution is to change /sbin/bootchartd, replacing "accton" by
