Stepping gcc-avr back to testing helps for the meanwhile.
The complained files do not exist in earlier versions. So either this

the scripts fail due to parsing of `stat` command assuming "Access"
which differs in other languages / l10n. Affects downloader and installer.

My initial fix was to downgrade to last usable version from squeeze-backports:

As one can read from http://www.audacious-media-player.org/download these
packages are a little out of date.
