upfront: this issue might instead affect gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio, please see for yourself. I am using Pulseaudio and their pavucontrol as my main mixer application. I guess xfce4-mixer was not designed to fit pulseaudio well, never mind. But I do use the panel plugin for mains control and so does xfce4-volumed which relys on the panel-mixer-plugin's choice to control a channel. This works fine basicly. My trouble is, that I like to stream audio to several bluetooth devices, which come and go throughout my marry working day. In the panel-plugin-properties I can only select a certain device and only when it's available. As far as I understood pulseaudio, there is something like a default-device/sink. When bluetooth devices are available for audiostreaming they automatically become the default sink. I would like the xfce4-mixer-panel-plugin to also be able to address pulseaudio's (more or less virtual) default-device, so I can control the volume of the device where default-streams go to, which should be the interest of 95% of people using pulseaudio with bluetooth/usb sinks and alike. (I'd estimate roughly 13 people ;) ) thumbs up for your great work!
