I 'third' this idea.
And I think you will save yourself some bug reports if you do this
before the freeze (i.e. prevent v3.1 from going into stable).

FYI: there's a new client which is able to open Passwordsafe files, and
is being actively worked on. The best solution would probably be to have
that packaged for Debian.

For me, the messages saying that rt didn't succeed, stopped after I
added the proper permissions for the rt-pulse (& audio) group in
/etc/security/limits.conf.

This is not a fix, but just a remark for people reading this...
I got the original tuxonice patch for 2.6.25 working without many surprises:

- un-bzip, gzip and place the .gz file into its 'Debian location'

I had the same error.
Then I discovered that I hadn't compiled V4L into the kernel. After I
reconfigured & recompiked the kernel, the install worked for me.
