FYI: there's a new client which is able to open Passwordsafe files, and is being actively worked on. The best solution would probably be to have that packaged for Debian.

It's Python+wxWidgets - and also has a commandline mode (for reading entries, I don't think that's for writing yet. But the downloadable .zip has a different commandline syntax than the latest version on Github, it's changed in the past 2 weeks, so there's definite movement there.)


The only thing I don't really like is the 'list view' in the graphical client. I like the 'tree view' that password-gorilla has, for editing. But at least it shows he list in order of group...
