suricata (2.0.4-1) was released 10.10.14, libhtp (0.5.15-1) six days later.
I think the problem is libhtp for setting the wrong SONAME.
Theres even a override in lintian, "upstream soname version is not correct"

this is relatet to suricata bug 772551.
It looks like the exported name should be libhtp1.so
/usr/share/lintian/overrides/libhtp* also hints the problem with " upstream
soname version is not correct"

How exactly did you attempt to install distributed-net? (dpkg -i,
apt-get install, aptitude, synaptic, something else?)
as root, apt-get install distributed-net
also, did this on three different systems, always the same error.
One of the systems was a clean install.
