Because $localhost_name is not set in by default in the configration files,
amavisd adds the string
'localhost' in the Received header on all mails it processes.
Some remote anti-spam services (possibly invalidly) trigger on this a
*sigh*
I missed a config snippet in conf.d which still contained a 5M
specification. When removed, it all works the way it should.

I am unable to change the value of innodb_log_file_size from 5Mb to a more
useful
(ie: any other) number.
I logged into the server as root and ran 'set global innodb_fast_shutdown=0'. I
then shut down the server via the init
binlogs are used for replication and disaster recovery.
If anything, 10 days isn't enough, as opposed to too long.

You should be able to DROP DATABASE `database`;
Reserved keyword names should be back quoted like that when used as item
names, as all should be well.

/var/lib/mysql and replaced it with a fresh, empty directory.
The original /var/lib/mysql was a symlink to another location on the
system and no actual data was lost.
