Hi,
so it looks like there's been no response by the upstream in several
months. May I suggest applying the previously-posted patch as a
workaround until upstream finds time to deal with the problem?

I'm seeing this bug also, so far only with firefox/iceweasel.
firefox-bin: res_query.c:251: __libc_res_nquery: Assertion `hp != hp2' failed.
It's a relatively infrequent event; haven't figured out how to reproduce it.

When a window is shaded, a doubleclick on its edge should
be interpreted to mean that the user is trying to unshade
the window. Otherwise, xfwm4 will corrupt the window's size
information.
This is one possible fix for Debian bug 624475.

Found a way to reproduce this bug.
1. Start with an unshaded window.
2. Click the Shade up-arrow control in the title bar; window manager
shades the window. The Shade control turns into an Unshade down-arrow.
3. Move the pointer to the lower edge of the shaded window, which is still

Hello,
occasionally xfwm4 cannot unshade a window when its title bar is doubleclicked.
It appears that what is happening is the window is actually unshaded, but that
the window vertical size was reset to zero, so there's no apparent change. But

Sometimes, starting mplayer video playback on this machine causes the screen to
