Dear Maintainer,
The GNU libc source package has a set of GDB pretty-printer macros written in
Python, which are of immense use when debugging code with GDB. In particular

OK. I'll download the distribution file from eclipse.org and install
it by hand.
Thanks for replying!
Is this bug going to be addressed? We haven't had an updated version of
Eclipse available in almost 3 years now, as far as I can see because
this "minor" severity bug is keeping newer versions from being

This seems to me like this bug should be very important to fix before
the release: it will cause environments that were working perfectly
before the upgrade to simply stop working with inscrutable error
messages after upgrade.
It should certainly be higher priority than "Normal", in my opinion,

In the fakeroot.in script, you have:

This is not correct, because if you configure fakeroot with a configure
option like --program-prefix='x', then this will be converted into

The fakeroot system uses a shell script to invoke the user's command
inside the fakeroot environment, but that script hardcodes the
installation location of fakeroot and there's no easy way to
override it.

Ouch! Yes, the makefile needs to be fixed as described here.
Note that a simpler fix, conceptually, might be just to do with this

Is there any forward progress on this feature? I really, really would
