Hi! After removing the package I was not really able to test iceweasel for hours but my first impression was that it is now much more stable, in fact no crashes so far. I told the story another admin and he said that there were several complains that this package may caused some of the problem

Hi! I got no response so far, so I changed /etc/cron.daily/apt to implement a parameter to stop the script if the user want this. You can disable the script with: APT::Periodic::Enable=0 in apt.conf. if APT::Periodic::Enable is not there the script whill behave like before like APT::Periodic

Package: libc6 Version: 2.3.5-6 Severity: important Both functions mallinfo and malloc_stats (malloc.h) report wrong allocation sizes while allocating more that 4GB on amd64 machines. Since the struct mallinfo-structure consists of integer there must be some error converting the values from the k
