ing /etc/network/run to /run/network to no avail. Checking with ifconfig lo gets created but eth0 is missing (but is mentioned in ifstate). So I am open to try any suggestions which might both a) fix this for me and b) help prevent this happening to others when initscripts gets updated. thanks
