Hi,
I enventually wrote some minimal code to support iPods.
svn://svn.debian.org/svn/parted/upstream/people/xilun/trunk+iPod/
Maybe it'll be merged in trunk one day...
Cheers,
Guillaume Knispel

Some limited Bad Sectors List support has been added in the
SVN.
This should lead to a better compatibility with HDX.
An empty Bad Sectors List is created in sector 1 while
creating an Atari disklabel, it contains the same things
that atari-fdisk write when using the b command and option

Checksum support has been added in the svn

Hi,
I've written preliminary support for Atari partitions.
This is available at
svn://svn.debian.org/svn/parted/upstream/people/xilun/trunk+atari/
It still needs a little more work before inclusion in trunk
(checksum calculation for bootable root sectors and bad block list
support).
Cheers,

I eventually asked for windows formated iPod boot sectors on
the iPodLinux forum ( http://ipodlinux.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4232 )
so maybe I'll be able to write support for it even without
apple help. But this obviously will take some time, especially to
make sure whether fields in the merged D
Hi,
I just took a look to the ipod_boot_sector you sent and the only
thing I'm sure about is that Apple completely messed up the format...
This is a mix of an MBR and a DBR describing a FAT32... I've never
seen something so crazy before. That's quite like mixing a
container and its content. Parte

When I use Window Maker openoffice.org does not properly maximise.
Examples :
Before maximisation : http://xilun.free.fr/unmaximised.png
After "maximisation" : http://xilun.free.fr/maximised.png
I'm using :
Debian GNU/Linux Testing
Linux box 2.6.8-2-686
Package: dhcp-client
Version: 2.0pl5-19.1
With a DHCP server configured to send 4 DNS to clients,
dhclient write them all in /etc/resolv.conf, while
the man page of /etc/resolv.conf says :

Internet address (in dot notation)
Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.0.8-4
I'm unable to record the Mic input with this sound card and this
alsa-utils version : under alsamixer there is no possibility to
select the Mic for recording as I could with older versions of
alsa-utils that I used to install on a Woody.
