This bug was originally about missing 'iprop-log', the binary utility.
It seems to have been resolved, however I still cannot find the
iprop-log utility included in the package. I have a need to manually
truncate/create/manage my Heimdal log file, and without this utility, it
is a bit hard.
Advice
Nope, upstream version '4' does not yet address this. I have uploaded a
patched later version to Ubuntu Feisty.

You can find the upload at the above URL.

I don't (yet) have the expertise to tackle this. I did notice the ia32

Sorry, but I probably won't be helping much on this. I have raised the

Where does this bug stand? I'm working with a Xeon Woodcrest system

It seems that action=update still does not remove the password from the
cache. The cc_test utility with a - password does work, however.

This is also required to function properly with Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 2, it seems.

Package: gq
The latest gq can have SASL support enabled by passing --enable-sasl to
the configure script and build depending on libsasl2-dev. It seems to
work fine in my experiments.

That is a possible fix, but also probably not ideal. Kerberos has a LOT
of return codes... a better way might be to have some sort of Kerberos
return code -> PAM error code map that is used to determine PAM exit
status.

I'm confused by the meaning of "update" as well. I would have suspected
it be "delete" or something.

Package: nss-updatedb
If nss_updatedb fails (the service returns an error code) it should not
update the passwd.db and group.db files with empty data. Currently it
does so. I am working around this with a script that tests for success
and restores a backup.
It doesn't make sense for it to do so,
Already packaged and available in Ubuntu. Michael Koch is handling the

Yes. I just realized I was looking at an old version and that this has
been fixed. Thanks.

Package: heimdal
It would be nice if Heimdal had OpenLDAP support enabled. This allows
users to store the KDC database in a LDAP server. Simplifies replication
of KDC information.
Currently --without-openldap is passed to the configure script.

I am having trouble finding a sponsor who is about to fully build the
package and review it. It is fairly large.

Um. Sudo doesn't simulate root privileges. It IS ROOT PRIVILEGES.
Running java-package with it is a Bad Idea.

Eclipse 2.1 is very old and very unmaintained. Eclipse 3.0 packages have
been prepared. This bug is meant to hold Eclipse out of testing in the
meantime.

I just compiled Subversion with JavaHL with Kaffe. The compile worked
fine and the package is fine.
This should be enabled by default at this point. Can we get this please?

Hmm. Well, I didn't figure that out on my own.
The error message it gave was really unhelpful... couldn't find
libgcj.pc. Now that I think about it I understand... but at the time I
didn't.
Bug can be closed if it doesn't need to be more obvious. =)

I have nearly completed Eclipse 3.0 packages that are built and run with
a free JVM.
Please see my debian-java posts regarding this. I will work there and
pkg-eclipse-maintainers to get these packages accepted.
