Package: nss-updatedb If nss_updatedb fails (the service returns an error code) it should not update the passwd.db and group.db files with empty data. Currently it does so. I am working around this with a script that tests for success and restores a backup.
It doesn't make sense for it to do so, as in the case of using updatedb in a cron job, usually you want a valid file when it's unable to reach the service. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
