When skipping tracks using audio applications (tested on audacious and
rhythmbox) the volume drops 10 points every time, eventually muting the sound.
The volume drop is not displayed anywhere, ie: volume bars do not move. The
drop is only s
nal freezes it freezes all other
terminals for that user (not the root ones however) so it also freezes
the gdb terminal.

This also happens for me and it appears to log the following in .xsession-errors

Happens every time.
Works fine using nautilus context menu.
Tried re-installing file-roller but same thing happens.

I solved this problem by editing the /etc/dbus-1/session.conf file and
finding the section
