Well, it seems that teminal.app doesn't depends on gnustep-back package.
Instead it depends on libgnustep-gui0.25 which doesn't depends on
gnustep-back.
I will look at this tomorrow

Yes, the tests failed to build.
This is because of the new version of gnustep-make.
But an upload of a new version of gnustep-gui is planned,
as soon as gnustep-base will be ready.

Thanks for this bug report and thanks for finding a solution.
Anyway I plan to repackage the Core GNUstep packages (including
gnustep-make),
and rewriting debian/rules using dh_overrides_* targets.
(If there are no objections from other Debian GNUstep Maintainers)
It should solve these bugs.

- use dh_symlink and dpkg-maintainer-script (and thus add dependency
to dpkg (>= 1.17.4)) to create symlink from old to new locations.
(provide new camera.app.links and new camera.app.maintscript files).

Hi,
addresses-for-gnustep fails to build from source, if --as-needed is used as a
linker flag [1,2]. The reason is that --as-needed enforces a strict ordering
(symbol users in front of symbol definitions).
Attached is a patch that fixes the problem by sorting out the libraries from
