Hello,
Freecol puts a file named FreeCol.log in your current directory, which is not
needed. I think it would be better if it were to be placed in ~/.FreeCol/ or so.
Two reasons exists why it is annoying: it is just not nice to have random

Sometimes, xterm dies when I open a program, for instance when I start "man
useradd", "bitchx" or other programs. aterm does not seem to be effected.
