my laptop has it’s global timezone set to UTC (as I do it for every
computer), but I life in Germany where CE(S)T is correct. For this I have set
the TZ-variable of my user (dab) to "Europe/Berlin" in my .bashrc. This works

htop tries to access /dev/gpmctl. Because it is running on a server, there
is no mouse-device and htop reports some (nice) errors (see below) at the
syslog and seems to die then.
