ied (or at least the fix is
in place), though this bug doesn't appear to be referenced anywhere,
so it's quite possible that as the ELTS package is a newer version,
the fix was just included in the backport.
I'd say the bug can be closed, as anyone still using a Wheezy
case at least, is the way `while read` is used in the
initscript as it ignores the (unused) age and arguments options. The
attached patch appears to fix it for me, hopefully it'll also work for
you.

lacing it with a simple `set default="0"` is a kludgy
workaround, but it falls down as soon as something invokes
`update-grub`.
