This Debian bug report is mostly so that others find the issue later,
and so that it gets the proper backporting attention.

Justification: causes serious data loss
The Debian packages for PostgreSQL are subject to a potentially critical data

Poppler in lenny needs the following patch (pulled from Ubuntu intrepid) to
produce correct PostScript output from some PDFs. Without it, it'll produce

While pkg-config files are provided for most Qt components, there is not

Package: netatalk
Version: 2.0.3-4
Severity: normal
NetATalk should be built with the --with-bdb-txn argument to configure.
Omitting this means that it's running without transaction-protected
access to .AppleDB . If NetATalk crashes, the machine loses power, etc,
the cnid database may be corrupt

Followup-For: Bug #239346
You might want to make sure you've run db4.2_recover in the .AppleDB
directory (while the cnid metad is shut down).
If you have, try stopping netatalk, moving .AppleDB aside, and starting
it again. You might have to fix aliases after t

I have also encountered this issue here. It might seem strange to try to

Followup-For: Bug #237754
It sounds a lot like the issue I've encountered. If so, the problem is
that /etc/init.d/lvm doesn't attempt to modprobe dm-snapshot before
activating volumes. A volume that has a snapshot associated cannot be
activated if snapshot support
Package: lvm2

Followup-For: Bug #283507
Fixing this will not only enable snapshots, it'll stop machines BREAKING
on boot if they have a snapshot against a volume they need to mount. It
should probably not just be at normal severity.
