i think this is related to
/usr/lib/openvpn/openvpn-plugin-auth-pam.so
i'm using that with the plugin directive:
plugin /usr/lib/openvpn/openvpn-plugin-auth-pam.so openvpn
and it is linked to libaudit.so
libaudit.so.1 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libaudit.so.1 (0x7f7823612000)
not sure what is
