Lessfs is a very interesting project because I'm unable to find packaged
alternatives on Debian for data deduplication.
Opendedup seems also very promising.
Is there any progress on this package?

I can confirm the problem, and I add as a workaround that limiting max number
of messages with the -m command line parameter
may help to solve the problem (but you limit the queue len on wich operate).

problem!
