I did some heavy testing a long time ago and did it again just today,
but your Bug is unreproducible. I tried wmusic with a xmms playlist of
aproximately 5000 files, but it never crashed - neither the old version

agree to license their work DFSG free. Actually only a part might be
enough though.

mii-diag uses the normal MII interface which does not include
information about the Gb/s interface. This information is found in an
xtended register, which is (up to now) not supported by mii-diag nor the
underlying libmii.
