I tested it fine on a sysvinit machine and install went fine on a

I've been investigating and libncl.a does not directly get used by any
other package associated with NCL-ncarg; there is a shared-object
variation but its called libNGncl.so.1
which won't conflict. libncl.a gets used by ncargf77 and libncargf90
wrappers (and newer pkg-config versions) that set

Yes, I believe it doesn't make sense to combine them for a number of

Package: openshot
Version: 1.4.3-1.1
Severity: wishlist
There's a new version of OpenShot available; at the moment, 2.0.6 is
the latest version. It would be nice to have it in Debian.
I believe they ported the interface to QT, which would address bug
#651591.
Any updates? Currently packaged version is more than 18 months old, which is
probably old enough to update it.
Hi Paul,
I'm sending this to you to get you in the loop [see thread below] on a
name conflict for the NCL.
Both "ncl" and "nexus" are used by other libraries.
Perhaps phylo-ncl or phylo-nexus could work.
(or of course, it could be left to users of debian to compile from source).
all the best,

The workaround I described earlier can be used to regenerate missing or
broken PNG icons for 44.0.2-1. The fix requires inkscape and should be
run as root. Be sure to unwrap these lines:
for n in 16 32 48; do inkscape -z -w $n -h $n -e
/usr/share/iceweasel/browser/chrome/icons/default/default$
tag 695220 +pending
thanks
The upstream patch was added in commit 1d7c7740987a77eb3281a260b5decc73cb96dff5.
This will be shipped with the next version of mutt in Debian.
Hi Mark,
thanks a lot for the ultra fast response.
Could you come up with a better renaming suggestion and may be also put
the original author in CC?
Its to bad to have two different scientific data formats with the same
name. I wonder whether there is some typical prefix of suffix to

Running postinst scripts for a foreign-arch package sounds problematic.

Dear Maintainer,
dget does not seem to un-quote URL encodings in file: URLs. For
example, %2B in a URL is a way to express the + character, but dget
interprets that as the character sequence %, 2, and B. curl gets this

Hi Mark,
the Debian Med team has packaged your NCL library for the Debian
distribution. We received a bug report that there is a naming conflict
with
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/
My suggestion to solve this conflict would be to rename libncl to
libnexus. In my opinion it would make sense to re

Thanks, I didn't know you could do that.
