looked through some of the various errors I was receiving and noticed it
was trying to load projects from my Java only version of Eclipse.
I changed the workspace to a new workspace for CDT and it fixed the problem.

This was not fixed; the incorrect rule file is still in the debian
directory and being packaged, though the rule in the upstream sources
is correct. Probably should remove the rules file in the debian
directory and package the upstream one instead.
