Same situation here. The gnome-xcf-thumbnailer package doesn't work. No
XCF thumbnails are created.
I deleted the .thumbnails folder in my /home with no positive result.

The dpatch patch management system has been deprecated for some time. The
Lintian currently flags use of dpatch packages as an error. The new 3.0
packaging format is an improved version which, among other things, contains

Sorry, but this bug can be set to wontfix because dovecot only logs the
authentication attemps additionaly to auth failed/Aborted login when
auth_verbose=yes is set. So this won't catch more failed logins. Sorry for this
bug report, my fault.

I tried downgrading, which doesn't work, and noticed that su is also not
working. I haven't been able to figure out what's broken yet. As a data
point, I run systemd, which is the one thing I can think that's quite
different to the default, and root login on the consoles is working.
