There have been increasing calls for me to drop krb4 support in
Heimdal (first in bug #315059 and now by upstream in bug #334632 - it
would also solve #236851). It would also eliminate confusion such as
tag 242702 + fixed

When trying to convert a file without delegate, imagemagick no longer
spits out crappy error messages from helper programs but bails out with
a sane message:
% convert blorf blorf.pdf
convert: no decode delegate for this image format `blorf'.
This is with version 6:6.2.

In a brief test, the command
convert infile.bmp -colors 256 +compress outfile.bmp
now seems to work as intended for me with the latest version of
imagemagick in unstable (6:6.2.4.5-0.2). Maybe even the earlier version

configure script is built using tclconfig/tcl.m4, which is outdated.
