Now that I have said that. I guess the current problem is that the current
policy for releases is to have four months between "branching". Instead, we
could replace that policy by four months between the last major .0 release and
the next targetted release.
In this case that would mean, 2.7.0 r
Hi,
Here is my opinion on release schedule. First, we have to go back and think
about why we do release ? And more important, to whom we do release ? For me,
it is obvious that we primarly release to bring improvements to our users,
everything else is and should be a side effect.

I don't
We talked about having a testing branch before commit into master
branch last year. We can restrict commit right to master, let the
features committed to and tested in testing branch thoroughly. So
master will always keep stable.

Well, I'm kinda torn about this... I do want to get the latest features and
fixes in people's hands as soon as possible. It's rather weird that the most
intense users of Krita build master on a daily basis just to get that --
releasing more often might save them time (though it would cost us tes

Hi
I'm worried about our release pace. For 2.6 Words was able to make exactly 0
new features. Sure we made several fixes, but apart from a few strings those
could (almost) just as well have gone into a bugfix release.
I'm also worried that even though we do manage to put in an occasional new
