[Bug 351635] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()

2009-04-16 Thread wavded
Evolution MAPI is really buggy for me. I haven't got a apport crash
report to popup but whenever I click on a Calendar Event in my Inbox
Evolution crashes. It also will be unable to connect to the MAPI server
after using it for maybe 3 minutes. I have to kill all the processes in
order to run it again. It also give me an error whenever I try to send
a message saying that it couldn't send the message although it "really"
did.

[Bug 351635] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()

2009-04-16 Thread wavded
I'm not sure what specific part of Evolution the bug is being caused by
(I've never gotten an Apport error report for any of them) but I am
using Evolution to connect with Exchange... I just haven't known where
to report these issues but wanted to let someone know. Is there a
better place I should post?

I still get the same error with the first package when installing the
patch... is there a way to remove that one so the new patch can install?
Thanks

after updating, gedit will still crash whenever I run:

I am reporting it here.

[Bug 551013] Re: ubuntu-logo on VGA fb (as with nvidia or fglrx binary drivers) does not display crisply

2010-04-07 Thread wavded
Disabling brought the resolution up for the bootscreen. I have to agree
w/ what's being said, it unfortunate that the proprietary drivers look a
like a joke in the splash when it seems like they could be harnessed for
more, better resolution, 3d something. But I have no knowledge of how
the programming works for ubuntu, which I understand there are
roadblocks to that goal. Maybe the OS drivers will catch up, maybe
nvidia will pay more attention to linux.. regardless, keep up the good
work.

[Bug 420578] Re: Karmic: PCM volume (as seen in alsamixer) "stuck" at 100% with pulseaudio enabled

2009-10-28 Thread wavded
I confirm as well that this is happening on my Dell XPS M1710 laptop.
The PCM volume is always at high level as seen in alsamixer. The master
will adjust using the volume applet, but not the PCM. Adjust of the
master also does something really odd. It doesn't change the volume but
rather moves the sound from "bass" to "treble." Sounds like the
subwoofer is getting more of the sound when the master volume is low,
and the all the speakers get it when the master is high. Kinda odd. If
I adjust the alsamixer PCM volume manually it does what I would expect.

[Bug 551013] Re: ubuntu-logo on VGA fb (as with nvidia or fglrx binary drivers) does not display crisply

IMO this isn't fixed until the resolutions can match up, I get a
flickery purple screen with text on 10.10. This is not a good user
experience. I don't see why users should be punished for having good
graphics cards when my wife's ubuntu has a generic Intel based and it
looks great. Windows 7 looks sharp, and streamlined, Ubuntu can do
better, this is the first impressions!

way since I started using the beta but wasn't sure where to report it.

[Bug 821342] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_main_context_dispatch()

2011-09-20 Thread wavded
I was able to cause this bug to happen by:

1. Connect to two remote servers (I used the Extra Pane F3 to seperate them)
2. Copy files from one to the other.
3. While the 'File Operations' dialog is working close the main nautilus window.
4. File Operations closes shortly after and got this crash report.

[Bug 252140] Re: [needs-packaging] Ubuntu Tweak

2010-07-10 Thread wavded
Definitely agree whole-heartedly, this is an excellent tool for power
users and people who like to tweak out their Ubuntu instance. Kinda
like TweakUI for XP back in the day but way more feature rich. It
doesn't need to be standard app, but should be in the software center.

[Bug 569476] Re: [needs-packaging] gpick - Advanced color picker written in C++ using GTK+ toolkit

2010-09-29 Thread wavded
This is a very handy color picker (better than what's on the central
repos, I've tried them all :) ), hope it gets packaged and part of the
distro to help it get more exposure!
