[Bug 262319] [NEW] [Intrepid] Macbook (Pro) Keyboard Layout screwed up
Public bug reported: On Macbook Pro: In Hardy, I had the 3rd level chooser on the second key to the right of the space key (sorry, I don't know the name of it). In Intrepid Alpha 4 (LiveCD) it is on the arrow-up key, and the right mouse button is on the arrow-down key, which leaves me with no arrow keys (and logically without page up/down). [Bug 249852] Re: search-as-you-type doesn't always work
ok, I found out something. Bug is in Hardy Heron with all updates. How to reproduce: 1. open nautilus (just after the system started or after you haven't used it for some time, maybe half an hour) 2. type some letters Expected behaviour: The typed letters should show up at the bottom right of the nautilus window, and the first folder/file that starts with the typed letters should be highlighted. [Bug 208715] Re: nautilus-share: share can not have the same name as a user
So actually we have two issues now: 1. AFAIK there is no GUI which can export the home directories automatically (you have to do it in /etc/samba/smb.conf). With something like that my problem would be gone. And also I think there's no application to see a list of all the shared folders (except in smb.conf). Would that be possible with nautilus-share? Or what package would be the right one to assign such a bug to? 2. The error message "'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare add: share name blabliblabla is already a valid system user name" looks ugly. It could be changed to something more lisible like "There is already a system user called blabliblabla. Usershares can't have the same name as system users." If issue no. 1 is solved you could even add "Home folders can be shared with system->shared folders" or similar. I could also work on the second one (the first one is still a bit too high for me). -- nautilus-share: share can not have the same name as a user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 212990] Re: Typo in German help (Pageformating)
Thank you for the typo report. For the next time, please try to choose the actual package when you file the bug, as it helps us to confirm it faster. Same typo is still in version 2.4 ** Changed in: openoffice.org-l10n (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => openoffice.org-l10n Status: New => Confirmed -- Typo in German help (Pageformating) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 212959] Re: help text error
When it says "Run Mixer" it actually means "Open Volume Control". One of these two should be changed to avoid confusion. ** Changed in: gnome-media (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- help text error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 212396] Re: Hardy Graphical Bug
Don't worry about the time. Here, everything works perfectly now. Maybe it's related to nvidia. If you could post a screenshot (hmm, not easy...) it would be good. -- Hardy Graphical Bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212396 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 213225] Re: no sound
Hi youngster :-) Please give as some more information so we can try to find where the problem is. Can you post the exact kernel versions who recognize the soundcard and which doesn't? What soundcard are you using? Maybe you can post the output of dmesg for both kernels (working and not working) Did you also try with a ubuntu live cd?
