well, if shares are set up with shares-admin, they are finally shared with samba. I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to do it with nautilus-shares, there is no sensible reason for that. and anyway, if something works in a version and in the next version doesn't, that's something that should just NEVER happen. setting the bug invalid and just looking away is obviously not the best solution.
