[Bug 316205] Re: Regression: USB/Wireless keyboards not working on Jaunty alternate daily CD - from Alpha 2
I can confirm this bug both in the installer AND after upgrading from intrepid and restarting. I hope this gets fixed soon! [Bug 351840] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1420] suspend/resume failure
Mike Coleman: This is not a valid excuse. If they can get it working, we should be able to get it working. Even if it were true that there is corner-cutting in implementing ACPI, the unpredictability of this bug and that it works most of the time would indicate a race condition or other improbable event. This is indicated in the attached log. If this were a problem of compatibility, it would not work AT ALL. It's not as if my computer is performing voodoo and deciding whether to resume based on the alignment of certain planets. Attached is a portion of my messages log that points indicates a problem with suspend/resume on two different dates, each with the same call trace. [Bug 331280] Re: update-manager can´t upgrade to jaunty
I am having this problem too. I uninstalled the ubuntu-desktop package, the jaunty upgrade button appeared. I reinstalled ubuntu-desktop, and the error occurs again. There are consipicuous errors in the log file toward the end (attached). ** Attachment added: "See errors at bottom" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24791659/apt.log -- update-manager can´t upgrade to jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331280 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 351840] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1420] suspend/resume failure
Why is suspend/resume so unpredictable with Linux? Why is it at all? It should be a simple process that executes the same way every time, and resumes the exact same way every time. What kind of varying object does this process rely on? It's like walking across an old rope bridge -- you never know which board will fall through. I am going to do some serious research on how this mechanism works. My bug log is basically the same as above. -- [Dell Inc.
