[Bug 391282] Re: no sound after upgrade of acpid (kubuntu 9.04)
after more test i have solved the problem, but the bug is confirmed for me. This is the complete report of my test: system: laptop hp dv5 1030 el os: kubuntu jaunty 9.04 1° test fresh installation after the bug (1° fresh installation): i have installed kubuntu jaunty and the sound system is ok. After the upgrade of acpid the sound system (all sound) don't work. so my system work with this package of acpid: 1.0.6-9ubuntu4.9.04.2 and don't work with this: 1.0.6-9ubuntu4.9.04.3 The sound system don't work if i removed acpid upgrade ad reinstall the old package ( acpid: 1.0.6-9ubuntu4.9.04.2) 2° test new fresh installation (2° fresh installation): i have installed kubuntu jaunty and the sound system is ok. After the upgrade of hal the sound system (all sound) don't work. so my system work with this package of hal: 0.5.12~rc1+git20090403-0ubuntu1 and don't work with this: 0.5.12~rc1+git20090403-0ubuntu3 3° test new fresh installation (3° fresh installation): i have installed kubuntu jaunty and the sound system is ok. After the upgrade of hal and acpid and the sound system (all sound) don't work. Solution: after the 3° installation of jaunty i have reconfigured hal and acpid package with: sudo dpkg-reconfigure hal sudo dpkg-reconfigure acpid the first time sound system didn't work, but after another "reconfigure cycle" sudo dpkg-reconfigure hal sudo dpkg-reconfigure acpid it's work. ** Attachment added: "lspci-vvnn" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28313627/lspci-vvnn ** Summary changed: - no sound after upgrade of acpid (kubuntu 9.04) + no sound after upgrade of acpid and/or hal (kubuntu 9.04) -- no sound after upgrade of acpid and/or hal (kubuntu 9.04) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 553462] [NEW] User can't share directory with kubuntu
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdenetwork-filesharing Kubuntu Karmic and Lucid User can't share directory with dolphin. I try to share a directory with the GUI of dolphin but dolphin doesn't make any action. Dolphin doesn't find the GUI to open because the default installation of kubuntu doesn't have the package kdenetwork-filesharing. IMHO this is a bug because users click to open the GUI but any other GUI or error is open. The GUI in kdenetwork-filesharing's package can inform to the user of the presence of NFS or SAMBA or display an error if they are absent ** Affects: kdenetwork (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dolphin kubuntu -- User can't share directory with kubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/553462 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdenetwork in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
