[Bug 35652] Re: minor graphical glitch when dragging icons
Sorry for the delay. I reopen this issue because the defect is still visible (I'm using 8.04.1). With the 3D desktop effect disabled: - It's still happening with Gnome and KDE 3.x - It's not happening with KDE 4.x - On Xfce, it's happening only when dropping the icon!? The Ubuntu artwork team made a pretty nice icon theme but it's a pity that dragging them we get a glitch effect. The priority of this issue is probably not high for you but it's opened for 2 years. Furthermore, please take into account that the priority of the look and feel of other OS is really high, no doubt. I can not give you more information (see the screenshots) and I can not solve this bug but from my point of view we should not close it. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- minor graphical glitch when dragging icons https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/35652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 686175] Re: Ubuntu 10.10: Imac 27" i7: kacpid uses 90% of one Core...
Hi Fabio, I have some more news: 1. I've installed the Fan control update from Mactel PPA: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...0&postcount=42 2. See here the first results: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639922 3. Yersterday I noticed that the "kacpid" daemon came back to 90% of one Core although "macfanctld" was running... 4. I've decided to uninstall "macfanctld"... then reboot the machine and... Right now, the "kacpid" daemon is using 0% of CPU!? I really don't know what's happening but the temperature issue really worries me. Do you think this issue is related? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/686175 Title: Ubuntu 10.10: Imac 27" i7: kacpid uses 90% of one Core... -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything
I could not use Unity although the ATI Drivers were installed. I had to switch to the classic desktop session. Natty's classic desktop is still very buggy so I'm now using Maverick. I'm having a lot of problems to make my iMac working smoothly with Ubuntu. I'm reporting each issue on launchpad and the apple user forum. Here are the threads I've opened: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1638986 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1638987 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639129 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639269 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639922 I'm still fighting with the mouse and keyboard issues. The only difference I could appreciate with Natty was that the internal speakers were almost working without any trick, see: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1638418 Hope it helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542660 Title: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
