[Bug 147560] Re: Kernel detects battery management wrong (MSI PR200 / System76)
Hopefully solved, according to http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9823 the patch is in 2.6.27 upstream now. [Bug 178125] Re: No battery detected in Alpha2
The last update to 2.6.24-7-generic made the battery info a lot more stable, however it is still not perfect - usually during charging when the battery is nearly full and the charging is about to stop, battery info starts going crazy, also the well-know ac adapter plugged/unplugged loop happens every now and then. [Bug 147560] Re: Kernel detects battery management wrong (MSI PR200 / System76)
I'd like to say that I experience the same problem on a MSI-1719 (PX700) laptop (Intel C2D, Santa Rosa chipset) and 64 bit version of Gutsy. Gnome power manager history shows multiple AC adapter connects and disconnects, wrong/undetected battery state and charge. The associated screen flicker, as it dims and brightens repeatedly is very annoying. Is there anything that can be to be done to help you fix this? -- Kernel detects battery management wrong (MSI PR200 / System76) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147560 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 147560] Re: Kernel detects battery management wrong (MSI PR200 / System76)
Vinx, that's exactly how mine looks, too. What BIOS version do you have? (I saw an upgraded BIOS version on MSI's website, I wonder if that could help with this problem) I have found that if I don't use the Fn + brightness up and Fn + brightness down keys to set screen brightness I can prevent the g-p-m from constantly re-setting the brightness. I set my screen brightness to 100% in g-p-m when connected to AC, 0% change when on battery and uncheck the "dim screen when inactive". That way, g-p-m is still unable to detect the correct battery charge but at least it doesn't interfere with regular use of the computer. -- Kernel detects battery management wrong (MSI PR200 / System76) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147560 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 243371] Re: Instant record stops for no reason.
This is not a bug, but a misunderstanding of how the "instant record" feature in Kaffeine works. Once you start instant recording the duration of the recording is set to 2 hours and it is added to your list of recordings. If you want to change the length of recording, open the list of current recordings (press the R key) and there you can modify it. ** Changed in: kaffeine (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- Instant record stops for no reason. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243371 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kaffeine in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1387219] Re: Mouse pointer disappears and cursor stops blinking
I noticed this on a freshly installed laptop with Utopic Unicorn. FWIW it has two monitors connected (internal + external via HDMI).
