Re: [Bug 374790] Re: error messages in booting
I am beginner in Linux-Ubuntu. I don't know how to manage "high priority" In the meantime I updated to kernel 2.6.28-12 and now there is no more warning message like the following: "modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.28-12-generic/modules.dep: No such file or directory" Goldy schrieb: > I get this message: " ata1 Softreset failed (device not ready) ", as posted > above, > and then this message: "SQUASHFS error: Major/Minor mismatch, older Squashfs > 3.1 file systems are unsupported." as posted at: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/squashfs/+bug/375352 > and then dropping to shell command line, "exit" cause kernel panic. > > Please give it a high priority. [Bug 374790] [NEW] error messages in booting
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: usplash I have all updates applied to Ubuntu 8.10 before I have made the upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04 directly via Internet. Just during the beginning of booting there are the following messages: [2.572015] ata1 Softreset failed (device not ready) [3.252017] ata2 Softreset failed (device not ready) modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.28-11-generic/modules.dep: No such file or directory But I have no problems to start the two hard-disks And in /lib/modules/2.6.28-11-generic/ there is a file "modules.dep" When I boot via GRUB with the kernel 2.6.27-9-generic there are no error messages. With Ubuntu 8.10 I had no problems. The hardware is always the same. ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 MachineType: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Hi, Thanks for the reaction, but I'm not using Ubuntu anymore at the moment. My computer had several hardware defects and I had to buy me an other. Maybe later I will try again with ubuntu, cause I like it very much. [Bug 546969] Re: focus does not switch to firefox when a hyperlink is clicked in another application
I was just browsing firefox related bugs and spotted a funny thing. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/481541 that is actually the exact opposite of this bug: "Firefox steals the focus from other apps when clicking on a link". I guess u guys need to figure out "who's right" and which behaviour is the one we should support because you can't have both. -- focus does not switch to firefox when a hyperlink is clicked in another application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546969 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
