[Bug 319714] Re: "software sources" UI broken in jaunty
I am facing the same problem I have tried Martin's solution, I have replaced the sources.list file with the original one, I have checked the /usr/share/python-apt/templates/Ubuntu.info file, but I still get the same exception. I wanted to debug the distro.py, but I have no experience with python. Could anyone help me to find the cause of the problem? -- "software sources" UI broken in jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319714 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 468491] [NEW] Authentication dialog stays open after Authentication
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: policykit Everytime after startup, I change the CPU frequency using the CPU frequency scaling monitor applet. It asks for authentication using the PolicyKit authentication agent window, I enter the password, I click on authenticate, and the password textfield disappears, but the authentication window stays open, and does not disappear, only if I click the close window button. [Bug 485636] [NEW] Can not disable GRUB2 background image
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2 After setting a grub2 background in /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme by setting the use_bg=true, and setting the image name, running update-grub2 sets the background, at next reboot it is displayed. If i set a non-existent image file name, update-grub2 throws an interesting error message "Generating grub.cfg ... No path or device is specified. Try ``grub-probe --help'' for more information. No path or device is specified. Try ``grub-probe --help'' for more information." This message is not very friendly, and gives no meaningful information. The other, and more serious problem is that after setting the use_bg to false with an existent and working background image, update-grub2 and restart, the image is still shown. The only way to set grub2 back to console-only mode is to set use_bg to false, and the imagename to a non-existent image filename. This way after update-grub2 and restart, I get the console grub2 menu again. [Bug 484528] Re: Some man pages display incorrectly in Help browser
The problem causing the first point is something in yelp-man-parser.c in method parser_handle_linetag, working on it to figure out. This is a gnome bug, should I report it upstream? The second point can also be fixed on the yelp side, but it can also be fixed in the man page and it should be fixed there in my opinion, becausein the man-pages font conventions state that "Any reference to another man page should be written with the name in bold, always followed by the section number, formatted in Roman (normal) font, without any separating spaces (e.g., intro(2)). The preferred way to write this in the source file is: .BR intro (2) ". This convention is clearly violated in the adduser man page source. Could you please tell me where to find this bug, if it was reported before? [Bug 482499] Re: Update manager says that running on battery power even though i am on ac power
Was the update manager displaying the battery icon in the notification area? When hovering, did it display running on battery info or something like no information available?
