[Bug 378307] [NEW] local_scan

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: exim4

I'd like to use py-exim-localscan:

to run a python local_scan function, but I'd have to recompile and I'm
not sure what ./configure options, procedures, etc, were used to create
the exim4-heavy package.

Can we repackage exim4 in such a way that recompile isn't necessary?

Can we add/create a python patch so that users aren't stuck with perl/C.

Is it just a cheap trick to use perl to call a python file? If that's
possible, I imagine it'd be very slow compared to compile-time support.

I'm very new to exim4, but it's EXCELLENT so far :))

Cheers,
Yonas

[Bug 378307] Re: local_scan

2009-05-19 Thread Yonas
I've compiled py-exim-localscan as a shared library, and it works.

I can't use the options, though, because exim wasn't compiled with
"LOCAL_SCAN_HAS_OPTIONS=yes". Can we change this?

Also, what's the process of making this a Debian/Ubuntu package. It
would be very similar to sa-exim.

Thanks,

2009-05-20 Thread Yonas
Is evolution dying? I'm seeing a lot of unfixed bugs that've been around
for months or years..

Is Thunderbird stealing all of the open source mail client users!?! :)

evolution won't delete mail from my maildir.

1. At launch, the Inbox and Trash are empty.
2. Click Trash. Trash is empty.
3. Click Inbox. Inbox is empty.
4. Click Trash. All Trashed items appear.

[Bug 238497] Re: copy CD/DVD button disabled

2008-10-03 Thread Yonas
I had this problem too. However, I suspected that the dvd was protected,
so I tried a dvd that I burnt myself, which worked.

I already had libdvdread3 installed, but I needed to install libdvdcss2
via Medibuntu:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

This solved the issue on Hardy 8.04, brasero_0.8.1-0ubuntu2~hardy1_i386
