use them, use the sysfs-{ram,disk}.conf files, which are the former
ram.conf and disk.conf files.
- Use /proc/net/dev instead of ifconfig to enumerate network devices,
because the latter would ignore madwifi interfaces.
* Now actually installs the ususpend configuration (though not
ususpend.conf), which I had previously forgotten. Thanks to René van
Bevern and Christian Schuerer for pointing it out (closes: #378347).
* Added recommendation on vbetool, thanks to Minh Ha Duong.
* Added recommendation on uswsusp, so that the new uswsusp code gets used
if supported by the kernel (>= 2.6.17rc1), and suspend2 is not available.
* Fixed up recommendations (other packages that most people will want to
use) and suggestions (other packages used but not needed by many).
* Added a hibernation HOWTO by Barak A. Pearlmutter to
/usr/share/doc/hibernate (closes: #377389).

* Create log file with 0644:root:adm permissions (closes: #381033).
* Added hibernate-ram and hibernate-disk symlinks which automatically use

Hi, I also own a P35. The problem is not gnome-power-manager, but a broken DSDT. When g-p-m changes the brightness through the backlight sysfs (/sys/class/backlight/asus/brightness), there's also an ACPI event generated as if the user pressed the the Fn keys. The workaround is not to kill g-p-m, but to comment out the acpi_fakekey command in /etc/acpi/asus-brn-down.sh and /etc/acpi/asus-brn-up.sh But I agree, a solution would be great to have the OSD and the g-p-m features. I'm running on i386 with the 2.6.24-16-generic kernel and a framebuffer console (vga=791). But the segfault also happens without framebuffer console. Hi,
there's problem with xchat 2.8.4 and its XCHATSHAREDIR variable.
It's defined in configure.in as:
XCHATSHAREDIR=`eval echo ${datadir}`
AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED(XCHATSHAREDIR, "$XCHATSHAREDIR")
So, the variable is "${prefix}/share" instead of "/usr/share".
When changing it to the following, it works:
XCHATSHAREDIR=`eval echo ${datarootdir}`
AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED(XCHATSHAREDIR, "$XCHATSHAREDIR")
This variable is used for custom Op and Voice userlist icons and Tree
View icons (http://www.xchat.org/faq/#q27) and for the icon shown by the
notify balloon.
I'm attaching a patch for it.
