[Bug 43393] Re: Doesn't show thai language correctly
I have Firefox 2.0.0.1+0dfsg-0ubuntu0.6.10 installed on my machine. I don't know, whether this is the version that you applied the patch to, but at least Synaptic tells me it's the most recent version. However, with this version, still Thai is not rendered correctly on a UTF-8 encoded website and within Firefox's GUI. On TIS-620 encoded websites, the rendering looks ok. I found one workaround: In "Settings", just dis-allow a website to use its own fonts, so that Firefox always uses the default fonts. Within the GNOME-GUI, Thai is rendered correctly. But the same issue as with Firefox also occurs with Thunderbird. -- Doesn't show thai language correctly https://launchpad.net/bugs/43393 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 43393] Re: Doesn't show thai language correctly
I included here a screenshot. In the main text, there are more aesthetic issues (like tone markers set too high), but the ticker text shows the more annoying problem. The website is: http://www.dailynews.co.th/, it's UTF-8 encoded. ** Attachment added: "screenshot" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6514131/Thai-Text%20not%20correct.png -- Doesn't show thai language correctly https://launchpad.net/bugs/43393 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 43393] Re: Doesn't show thai language correctly
I have the same problem. Vowels and tone markers are not rendered at the right place making Thai text (nearly) impossible to read. It's a font problem. If you have a website with Thai encoding (http://www.thairath.co.th/) like TIS-620 - everything looks nice. But if you have a UTF-8 encoded page, the rendering is not correct. And there is another thing: Text renders correctly in any time, when you it's italic and/or bold! -- Doesn't show thai language correctly https://launchpad.net/bugs/43393 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1726224] [NEW] wacom invisible mouse pointer in wayland
Public bug reported: After upgrading to Ubuntu 17.10, I connected my Wacom Intuos tablet, which has touch and pen functionality. Controlling the mouse pointer through the touch functionality seems to work fine, but using the stylus produced very strange behaviour, depending the program. - With Firefox there there are two pointers - one that is moving in accordance with the stylus movements, and one stays put at the position, when the stylus movement was detected. - With Darktable the mouse pointer becomes invisible, once it's moved inside of the application window (it registers clicks though). Once the pointer is moved outside of the application window, it appears again. [Bug 695580] Re: Kernerl 2.6.35-XX fails to boot Asus F81 notebook
@Brendan: Thanks for your suggestion, but it does not work on my machine. So, I still keep pci=nomsi, as Idler suggested. I'll try a live-cd, but if I remember correctly, it does not boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695580 Title: Kernerl 2.6.35-XX fails to boot Asus F81 notebook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/695580/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 695580] Re: Kernerl 2.6.35-XX fails to boot Asus F81 notebook
Found out that the problem seems to be because Amibios in the notebook ... booting with acpi=off works. ** Package changed: linux (Ubuntu) => acpi (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695580 Title: Kernerl 2.6.35-XX fails to boot Asus F81 notebook -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 436248] Re: Maverick: Kino plays too fast, sound is not passed through pulseaudio
Turing off sound in Kino produces playback at normal speed - but no sound. :-/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436248 Title: Maverick: Kino plays too fast, sound is not passed through pulseaudio -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
