Public bug reported: I can neither log out nor shutdown my notebook via the Unity menu. When I select either one of these in the menu, nothing happens.
Suspend and Hibernate work as expected. Shutdown via terminal 'sudo shutdown -P now' works fine, as well as shutdown when logged into a Gnome session.
