[Bug 263147] [NEW] Real audio streaming stops after 90 seconds
Public bug reported: This might be a xine-related bug since I can reproduce it using various xine-based players (amarok, totem, gxine, kaffeine). Open an .ra stream (e.g. rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc- rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/6music/live/6music_dsat_g2.ra) with one of the applications mentioned above. Playback will stop after 80 or 90 seconds. Starting the application within a terminal won't give any hints during playback or afterwards. Using realplay works fine. [Bug 68187] Re: "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error
I am on Hardy and I can reproduce this bug just as Kansei described it. After logging out and logging in again playback acts normally until I watch a video on youtube with Firefox (Swiftweasel). This happens while using Gnome whereas it has actually not been reproducible during any KDE4 session so far. amarok/amarok-xine 2:1.4.9 kubuntu-kde4-desktop 0.14 swiftweasel-athlon64 2.0.0.13 ubuntu-desktop 1.99 Audio device nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio uname -r 2.6.24-15-generic -- "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/68187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 68187] Re: "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error
There has just been an update to amarok/amarok-xine 1.4.9.1 which seems to at least diminish the problem for me - I still get the error regarding xine's disability to initialize any audio drivers but now playback will work correctly after simply closing the youtube tab in Swiftweasel. For now, I consider this new situation satisfactory. -- "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/68187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 68187] Re: "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error
Eric, I wasn't suggesting to let that matter rest but only noting that this scenario was actually fine with me compared to the earlier one (even though it remains a bug without a doubt). Has anyone of the other Hardy users observed a change concerning this issue after today's updates for xine-lib anyway ( http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/x/xine-lib/xine- lib_1.1.11.1-1ubuntu3/changelog )? -- "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers." error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/68187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 554746] Re: gnucash uninstallable due to dependency on slib
I had to install beta2 yesterday. With lucid-proposed and lucid- backports activated, I haven't had this problem ever since. gnucash 2.2.9-5 slib 3b1-3ubuntu1 guile-1.6-slib 1.6.8-10 scm not installed -- gnucash uninstallable due to dependency on slib https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554746 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1311399] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 forgets Display Settings from monitors.xml / xorg.conf (Dual-Screen Setup)
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1292398 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1292398 Another workaround: Make the necessary changes to the layout with ARandR, save layout as yadayada.sh (or whatever name you prefer), define yadayada.sh as a startup application (after making it executable). You will have messy screen layout until entering the password (with my layout, I have to do this without seeing anything unless I turn the TV on), but after that it should look exactly the way you want it to. At least that's what I got. I don't have a solution yet how to start the script before the login screen, but this is probably no rocket science either. I came across this workaround after I'd been facing that nasty issue with a GeForce card, and it persisted after I used an ATI instead (at first I'd thought it might be related to the NVidia driver in some way). By the way, I don't have xorg.conf and monitors.xml anymore. I didn't have monitors.xml with GeForce either, but I did have xorg.conf before. Doesn't matter to me now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311399 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 forgets Display Settings from monitors.xml / xorg.conf (Dual-Screen Setup) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1311399/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
