[Bug 291269] Re: Logitech MX5500 keyboard/mouse does not work with 8.10 install cd (amd64)
This error is occuring for me as well. You can make the keyboard and mouse work in the installer by simply unplugging/replugging the dongle. However I have to reset the dongle at least once per reboot to make it work again. [Bug 56352] Re: Unlock dialog no longer pays attention to keypresses before it appears
I switched back to xscreensaver because of this bug. Unlocking is always an exercise in frustration. I used to be able to bang my password in and not worry about things; it just worked. Now I have to hit a key... wait... type in the password; or, I bang it in, wait... I get the wiggle dance (cute, but stupid... Max OS X does this, yes, but it doesn't have all of the other DENIED cruft and so on. Pick one or the other, using both takes too much time. But I digress...)... wait... type it in again. This is not a Good User Experience (tm). -- Unlock dialog no longer pays attention to keypresses before it appears https://launchpad.net/bugs/56352 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Alpha 2 - sorry bout beta - started to type the message till I noticed the "smell", rebooted in 10.10 and finished the message.
