[Bug 50251] OpenGL Handicap in kernel 2.6.15-25-k7
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-k7 It seems that OpenGL is slowed down with the new kernel update. I don't have any proofs, but since the update OpenGL apps like Google Earth are very slow! I'm not the only one who experience problems. you are fully right Mike, that's my opinion, too. Unfortunatly this "bug" has made his way into the final release of feisty. [Bug 110776] Re: A button is as big as a Folder
it just looks ugly in my opinion. We don't need big buttons from the designer aspect. It's a good idea for people that need help on the pc, who have problems moving the mouse, etc. But for normal people buttons with a smaller size (like in Windows, OS X and even KDE) are more pretty. Imagine there are a lot buttons in a window, the window is filled 33% with buttons then. They just could be smaller. They are not the main element of the interface, so they just don't need to be that big. -- A button is as big as a Folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110776 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 110776] Re: A button is as big as a Folder
the size of a button has nothing to do with more or less readability. It hat to do with hitability. But another example are websites. The buttons on websites aren't that big, too. To have a lot of place in a windows is wrong. We should make windows as small als possible, because it's annoying to have windows that are filling my hole screen, instead of having two windows next to each other. I just can give the example of OS X. Re: [Bug 96510] Re: Report a problem icon doesn't match other icons
Mh, as I saw this icon for the first time I thought: "okay, maybe they want to highlight that point because it's just a beta". So in my opinion we chould change this icon for the final release. [Bug 96582] screen gets black on password and shutdown prompt
Public bug reported: I know this is not a bug, but in my opinion it is not very good for the usability of ubuntu. Everytime a passwort prompt (gksu/sudo) window opens the whole screen turns black and I can't do anything. I think this is not very good. Of couse it's important to let the user know that he is doing something critical and he should pay attention, but I think this is already done by the passwort prompt it self. So I think, the screen should not turn black if a passwort window comes. And whats even more worse: If you click on the shutdown icon in the upper right corner, the hole screen turns black, too! But why? Maybe I forgot to save my documents before I shutdown the computer. If the screen would not turn black, I could click on gedit and save it, and then click on shutdown. But in the situation as it is now, i have to click the shutdown menu away, save, and open it again. It's much more complicated. So in my opinion, we should change this for usability reasons. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- screen gets black on password and shutdown prompt https://launchpad.net/bugs/96582 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
