[Bug 285541] [NEW] [intrepid] login hangs in gdm and on the console
Public bug reported: This one is quite mysterious. I'm using intrepid. gdm is being started up, I get the brownish screen with a rotating mousepointer and that's it. When I switch back to the console, I try to login as root. Username & password are accepted, but after that I get no prompt. When I switch to another console and login in as a non-privileged users I still get no prompt, but the output has an additional "No new mail" at the very bottom. All I can do is to use CTRL-ALT-DEL, but then the machine will not reboot (it will stop processes until it forcefully stops postfix, after that it's dead). Using Magic-Sysreq-Key I can kill all tasks using SIGTERM, and THEN I can actually login in (on the console) again. [Bug 287603] [NEW] Doesn't accept pkcs12 files
Public bug reported: While openvpn gladly accepts pkcs12 files: pkcs12 client.p12 the network-manager-openvpn still insists on seperate files for ca, cert, and key, e.g. like: ca ca.crt cert client.crt key client.key Please make the use of PKCS12 files possible. That way the users only have 66.66% less things to configure (and less errors to make). ** Affects: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Doesn't accept pkcs12 files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287603 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 325346] Re: dump cannot dump ext4 partitions
Strictly speaking is "dump" for ext2 only, BUT it also dumps ext3 - thus "4.4bsd dump and restore for ext2 filesystems" is a bit of a misnomer. I can also confirm that it must be due to NM, since I was successfully using ubuntu jaunty's 2.6.28 kernel in intrepid, and awireless ceased to work after switching to jaunty altogether.
